This website facilitates the communication of evidence that highlights my abilities in reading, writing, and critical thinking, which has been published for the benefit of future instructors, employers, fellow scholars, contributors, and colleagues, as well as for my own self evaluation. This e-portfolio has been composed in specific relation to each heading within the "WPA Outcomes Statement", and the "WPA Success in Post Secondary Writing" document.
My ability to engage with the following outcomes listed in the "WPA Outcomes Statement": Rhetorical Knowledge; Critical Thinking, Reading, and Composing; Processes, and Knowledge of Conventions, is evidenced within various examples of writing within this e-portfolio, as are Curiosity, Openness, Engagement, Creativity, Persistence, Responsibility, Flexibility, and Metacognition, which form the eight habits of mind within the "WPA Success in Post Secondary Writing" document.
The evidence ("Writers Journals # 1-20", and major "Writing Projects # 1-3") are easily assessed through the horizontal menu at the top of this page; click on a tab and the selected page will open. Each "Writers Journal" and major "Writing Project" possesses a different idea or subject such as reflection, observation, autoethnography, or ethnography, but all 23 of these examples, many of which include additional links to evidence that supports my writing, and is further supported through detailed explanations of that evidence, will assist each reader with determining what I understand the act of writing to be. "Writing project #3-A Theory of Writing" is particularly helpful with regard to this statement; it is a paper that assists all readers in the analysis of many of the aforementioned examples of writing that were part of the English 101-Composition course at Arizona State University this semester (Jan 09-Feb 27 2017).
